What DPI do print-on-demand products need?
Aim for 300 DPI at the size you'll print. Around 150 DPI is the lowest most people consider acceptable for apparel. To find the largest sharp print size, divide the pixel width by 300: a 4500-pixel-wide design prints sharply up to 15 inches wide.
Why semi-transparent pixels matter
DTG printers lay down a white underbase beneath colors on dark garments. Soft, semi-transparent edges (from feathered cut-outs or glow effects) can print as a faint box or halo. Clean them up so every pixel is either fully transparent or solid.
